Manuka Hub Picnic

Last Friday, all the classes in the Manuka Hub had a picnic down at Windsor Park. We had a lot of fun playing games and enjoying our picnic under the trees. It was great to see lots of parents and family down there too! We especially appreciated a swim back at school afterwards as it was one of the hottest days this year!

Ginger Beer Bug

Last week, Room 16 started our ginger beer bug to make a  batch of ginger beer. We had to start with yeast, ginger and suger to get it going. This week, we will be making our ginger beer. If anyone has any spare plastic soft drink bottles, bring them in as we'll be needing a few for our bottling!

Hearing Association Session

Today Room 16 was lucky to have a visit from Caroline who's at the Hawkes Bay Hearing Association. She taught us all about how to protect your ears from hearing damage, how sound is carried by vibrations and what loud sounds do to our ears.

Week 1 Term 1 2014

Kia ora, welcome to our Room 16 Blog. We have had a great start to the year in our first week, getting to know each other and getting used to our new classroom.
